Locals set for national action

New England players are set to be heavily involved in youth national activity over the coming weeks, with the USA's U-21 women, as well as U-17 and U-18 men all convening for training camps.
Bill Irwin's U-21s, which will include in the travel party, Meghan Schnur and Brittany Taylor of UConn, will depart for England on Friday for a ten-day tour, during which they will take on Blackburn, Everton and Leeds.
Bob Jenkins has called up Springfield, MA, native, Joe Parsons, to the U-18 squad for a training camp in Florida that will feature games against university side, Virginia and UConn, as well as the national U-17 side.
After they have squared off against the U-18s, John Hackworth's U-17s will depart for a ten-day camp in Honduras. Games have been scheduled against the national U-17 team, as well as Municipal Reserves Comunicaciones Reserves. Included on the USA roster is Sheanon Williams, from Boston.
