Colaluca to appear at Project GOAL event

Nico Colaluca, who last week was selected with the sixth overall pick by the Colorado Rapids in the 2007 MLS SuperDraft, will make a guest appearance today at a Project GOAL program session at Calcutt Middle School in Central Falls, RI, at 5pm.

Colaluca, a native of Coventry, RI, was drafted out of the University of Virginia as a junior and is a former pupil of Lasalle Academy in Providence. He also played for the Soccer Rhode Island Olympic Development Program.

Project GOAL is an after-school initiative that partners with both the Central Falls and Providence School Departments as well as the state youth soccer organization, Soccer Rhode Island. Its mission is to facilitate the development of New England's disadvantaged inner city youth through after-school tutoring, health education, and soccer-related programs.
