Local trio set for Nike Friendlies

Several New Englanders are set to participate in the Inaugural Women's Nike Friendlies, to be held in California from 28 September – 1 October.

The events, which are run by the US Soccer Federation and Nike, will see a total of 42 matches take place, featuring some of the best female talent the country has to offer at the U-16, U-17 and U-18 age levels. A similar event has been run for boys for several years.

Taking part from New England are Jillian Mastroianni (Durham, CT – USA U-16s), Kristen Mewis (Hanson, MA – USA U-16s) and Bianca D'Agostino (Longmeadow, MA – USA U-17s).

The weekend will be concluded when the USA women's national team takes on Chinese Taipei at the Home Depot Center. To view the USA squad, click here.
