Joseph out of Red Bulls clash By Andrew Hush
September 20, 2006
Shalrie Joseph is out of the Revolution's game against the New York Red Bulls on Wednesday night, having picked up a hand injury in an altercation in a Boston bar last Thursday. It is understood the midfielder damaged a tendon on broken glass and underwent surgery on Monday. Jospeh is expected to miss the rest of the regular season.

Joseph did not train on Monday and, though the Grenadian midfielder was not listed on the original Revolution injury report submitted to MLS, on a updated version sent on Tuesday afternoon, Joseph's name did appear with ‘right hand' given as the only detail regarding the injury.
The loss of their talismanic midfielder will be a severe blow to the Revolution who were also without the then-suspended Joseph in their most recent road game, in which they were defeated, 3-0, by the Columbus Crew.
In Joseph's absence, it is likely that Joe Franchino and Jeff Larentowicz will start in the center of midfield with Andy Dorman ahead of them in a more attacking role. With Franchino moving inside, James Riley is the leading candidate to fill in on the left flank.
