Bolts eliminated from nationals

FC Greater Boston's national championships dreams were ended on Friday when Tracy Kerr's side was defeated, 3-0, by Real Colorado in Des Moines, IA.

After an opening day win over the Internationals (OH), the Bolts lost on Thursday, 2-0, to Edmond SC (OK) and knew that nothing less than a win over the 2-0 Real Colorado would be enough for them to progress to Sunday's final.

However, it was not to be, as goals from Bethany West, Chelsea Stewart and Janea Deas fired the rocky mountain side into Sunday's fina, where it will take on Edmond SC.
